A general gathering space for Now What?! participants, much like a virtual town square
Welcome!

Welcome to the Now What?! Lounge--a place to connect, hang out, and get your bearings.  Introduce yourself, share what drew you to this global gathering, and look for people you would like to form a circle with in order to have a more intimate conversation.

In time, a menu of structured circle conversations will be developed for you to choose from.  "Structures" are a set of sequential prompts that all members of a circle are invited to respond to, and can be flexibly designed for any given context. In the case of Now What?! a structure might relate to a specific "engagement stream" or to one of the core opportunities Now What?! is intended to serve:

  • Building Relationships
  • Learning
  • Supporting an Initiative
  • Finding New Opportunities
  • Receiving Personal Support
  • Being of Service

Two Prompts to Get Started Here

  1. What's happening in your world right now that is surprising, inspiring, or challenging you?
  2. What general and/or specific needs might you wish to address via a structured circle conversation using Sutra?

Good afternoon everyone :)

My name is Bret Warshawsky and it's nice to be here in this emerging and early adopter space! I am going to borrow from the prompts as a way to get my feet wet and jump into the Sutra Game.

What's happening in your world right now that is surprising, inspiring, or challenging you?

Now that we have entered the quarantine zone... my newest challenge is to learn new formats, technologies and paths for the work I am involved with. I was recently introduced to Lorenz and Sutra through a mutual friend (my work involves these kinds of sociotechnologies) so it's perfect to be able to test out, learn and adapt to Sutra through a real-world example and opportunity. I am a big fan of Ben's work in the world overall, and pretty floored by the strategic and efficient weaving of platforms being done here for Now What?! I have to say, due to what I am seeing with Now What, I feel extra inspired to consider learning from this and applying the wisdom towards a Planetary 'Co-createathon' that our project is considering. I am a bit overwhelmed by the intricacy that mastefully seems pretty simple from the user end but must be super deep on the back end. Just amazing kudos to Ben and all who are part of that backend configuring and managing. I am inspired to consider this Co-createathon because it feels like the world is now more ready than ever, due to circumstances, to see and understand the whole systems oriented work we have been designing and living.. to see and understand that what we appeared radical for 7 years ago is now becoming more like common sense or at least more curiosity prevails, and more openness to our belief that radical new systems are required and less of an unknown than many believe. So, in the midst of great degrees of both chaos and order, there is Chaordic Organization more possible now than ever before.

What general and/or specific needs might you wish to address via a structured circle conversation using Sutra?

Generally, I would be interested in a circle that addresses systemic change, not in theory as much as in how to take many people's works now and get them into deeper experimental and iterative phases so we can deliver them to the world, locally and globally. In that, on a personal note, as mentioned, I have a need to learn more about how Now What?! has used all of these tools on the backend and how do to something similar in our space.
